Annual Theme: Walk Across America
Spring 2024
The academic theme this year at Infinity Charter School is Walk Across America, which includes Paleontological and Archaeological discussions about where we -- and the world around us -- came from. Students talk about major geological processes, dinosaurs, megafauna, the ice age, clovis and the first peoples, as well as the indigenous groups and First Nations people who thrived in the Americas during Pre-Columbian periods. The school year finishes by considering European Contact and its ramifications for both New and Old Worlds.
As the Scholar in Residence during spring 2024, Doc works closely with students throughout the semester to consider various aspects of their investigations, from methods used to identify different materials in archaeological contexts, to the ways in which we question and consider the past.
